theres a lot of value in the inaccurate 90s-00s anime adaptations like fate/fma/hxh and you should endeavour to rid yourself of the belief that their idiosyncrasies like filler episodes and divergent storylines are necessarily bad - a belief which has sadly only had its legitimacy reinforced in this era of perfect 1:1 adaptations with movie level animation that run on-pace with the manga.

@wren true.. i think anime routes have a lot of value. I still like the black butler s1 ending a lot despite it not being similar to the manga at all
@wren I straight up think fma 2003 is way better than the manga. I watched hunter x hunter 2011 and regretted it a bit when friends showed me clips of '99 and it was the Most Beautiful Thing I'd Ever Seen instead of looking a bit bland and generic
