ingredients:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 115g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
melt butter and allow to cool completely. whisk together salt, sugars, and melted butter in a bowl, then whisk in the egg and vanilla until light ribbons fall off the whisk.
sift in the flour and baking soda, then fold in with a spatula until incorporated. then stir through the chocolate chips.
chill dough for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight. bake for 12-15 minutes at 180ºC.
